" Pathfinder is an awesome program. It breaks barriers. It gave me a chance to show my potential. In my mind I knew I would do well in the workforce, yet there was the negative thinking going on. I never had a real permanent job before so I was scared that I wasn’t going to do well. I got the chance through Pathfinder to show myself I am fully capable to do what I focus my mind on.

" The Pathfinder Youth Centre Society is a very helpful program that has helped me to learn to control myself and my mouth. I learned to cope better as a person, individually and independently. " I joined the program to establish myself in a full-time job. I didn't want to bum around and not do anything. I needed to boost my self esteem. I got to know my interests were in the job field which gave me more self esteem. The staff is great because they go out of their way to help each of us one out. It didn't matter what time of day it was. We felt like we were part of their family. Not only have I gotten good business contacts , I have been able to see a future.

This program is unique, if you have an idea of where you want to go this program helps you build a plan, the network and helps you be a better person.

"First of all, Pathfinder teaches what you need to do get out there and a find a job. It is more than anything that I had expected , it's about making friends and connections. The staff not only kept in touch with us but we kept in constant touch with them whenever we needed to. It not only focused on job finding skills but other things going on in your life and how to deal with them and solve them. It is the best thing I ever got into.

It's like a big family, you yourself might not have the best family but they listen and help you out. They leave their phone on all the time and help you deal with all your problems. Everyone has the same goal and that is to find a job and you learn to not let your personal life interfere with that and this helps you achieve your goal. I recommend it to anybody who can get into it. It will change your life."
